The Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET) at Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti” has organized training for future teacher groups and assistants, with the modules: “Learning Theory” and “Active Learning”.
The training was conducted by two trainers, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Serdan Kervan and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Pranvera Jetishi-Qollaku, who are members of CET.
The teaching staff and assistants participated in this training with extraordinary enthusiasm and a strong desire to advance in their fields.
The module “Learning Theories” is focused on the main concepts of these theories and their application in today’s teaching. In this regard, we discussed and practiced everything related to including students in studying, their motivation, differentiated learning, and studying through research and projects. The objective of this module was to equip participants with the knowledge and necessary skills to encourage the development of students’ critical thinking and create a positive learning environment.
The module on “Active Learning” addressed another important challenge during this training. This module focused on developing techniques and activities to encourage students to engage inclusively in their studies, using their knowledge and skills, and develop critical and creative thinking. It represents a significant step towards creating a student-centered learning environment.
